It's a hot summers day. When Cooper goes to the park, who does he meet but his best friend Trooper and his owners' kids, Gracie and Joe? Their parents serve in the military, and when they find Trooper, the military dog is injured and needs a home. They go back to Gracie and Joe with Trooper, but they soon leave for work again. How can they stay together when they're so far apart?

I like this book because it is a really good story and a happy ending.
