Our Nature Studies

When I began to write this article I was going to explain how there are not many places near us to view nature, but as I started to go back through the photos we have, I realized that there is nature all around us, no matter where we are.

I think the best way to tell you about our nature studies is to show you in pictures.  Hope you enjoy them!

Don't you just love it when nature is "just there"? It's one of those things that we can just relax and enjoy if we want, or we can really focus on learning. Either way, it works. :)

My daughter love the turtle!!

Great Photos! Love that blue heron! Funny! Right in the driveway? Very Cool!

Christine ~ nature studies through pictures is awesome! While we currently live in an area many would consider more rural, we have also lived in true suburbia. Anywhere you go, there is always something from God's creation to observe and study. What you see just changes with where you are located.

We live in town. During the winter lots of birds that normally stay out of town do visit city-parks and backyards for food. So, even in the winter you can have nature at your doorstep.
Nice photo's.

Nice pics! We had herons at the rescue - they can be quite feisty! Pretty to see when they aren't injured and cranky...

Our Homeschool Reviews

We can see herons in our backyard daily and that one sunning didn't mind that I was taking his picture and playing with the dog in the backyard. The turtle lives in the retention pond behind our house and has gotten lost and shown up in our front yard twice since we have lived here.
