this past week was funny bunny's first week of fourth grade.  it went pretty well so i'm ready to get started today!  I'll try to post some things we did a little later.

but before we started school, there was some pampering the week before.  ;)

last night was the first night of vbs.  funny bunny was very excited and had a lot of fun!  She was also asked to be in the short play {which is usually reserved for the older kids} on performance night.  she is super excited about that and working hard to memorize her lines!

oh, and I am helping with the crafts each night, so both of us will be exhausted by the end of the week.

i am looking forward to friday, which is our local homeschool convention!!  it is something that funny bunny and i look forward to going to each year!

it has been a very busy month for us....

then there were two birthday parties, the movies, the library, and playing with friends

oh, and hubby and i celebrated our 12th anniversary yesterday and enjoyed dinner and a movie on saturday night

on saturday funny bunny had auditions at her dance studio for next year's company class.  she is in one of the company classes already but had to try out to either stay where she was or move up.  although she was nervous about the audition, she was happy to stay where she was.

it was announced late saturday evening who made the classes.  she ended up moving up!!!  she was already in bed when i heard the news so i didn't wake her.  i told her first thing sunday morning and was nervous about her reaction since she told me she didn't want to move up.  well, she has been on cloud nine ever since!!  i guess she thought she would not make the move up so she was not expecting it.  she is still giddy!!  below is one of her dance recital pictures.

last night she wanted her nails painted and picked the colors...this is what the result was. :)

today funny bunny woke up fine but then started complaining of upper leg pain.  not sure if she slept funny or pulled something, but it hurts her to move it.  there is no bruising and it doesn't hurt if I poke it, so i'm stumped.  she has been laying with it propped up for a few hours now and I gave her some advil for the pain.  hoping she just slept funny and it will go away soon.

funny bunny turned 9 last thursday.  for lunch i took her for tea and that evening we had a little family celebration.

friday night my brother received his associate in science degree and we went to his graduation ceremony.  

~three~ 

saturday we threw a birthday "pawty" for funny bunny and her friends.  it was a huge success but a large undertaking and i have several people to thank for their help 
{i'll show more in a separate post}

sunday we spent 3 1/2 hours at funny bunny's dance studio getting her recital pictures taken.  she had pictures taken in four different outfits.  it was a long afternoon but fun to see all the girls in their dance costumes!

actually getting some things accomplished today...yay!!

last friday hubby's parents came over and we all helped stain the wooden swing set.  it's about 4 years old and was looking pretty bad.  doesn't it look brand new now?!

this friday night funny bunny will be playing rahab in a play at church.  she's been practicing hard and we can't wait to see all the kids perform!

~four~

then on saturday she is performing with the rest of her dance company at a venue downtown for national dance week.

only 5 more weeks of school left for us!!  we are ready for a summer break!

publix has the best pre-made pizza dough.  we are having pizza for dinner tonight.  :)

we've been watching documentary shows about the titanic on the history channel all weekend long.

i've been wrapped up with my thirty-one business lately too.  did you know that starting today, april 16th to may 31st, they are offering an enrollment kit rebate?!  i wish that was available when i started!  contact me if you want to know more...

after several hours of the computer being on my screen starts blinking in ie.  have no idea why but it is quite frustrating.  having to shut them down and reopen in firefox.

hubby had to work all weekend long so we missed him a lot.  :(  hope he comes home early tonight!

my thirty-one business is starting to take off and i'm very excited!  had my first official show on sat and it went well...then had another {last min} on sunday.  busy, busy, busy...

the last time i posted a miscellany monday (in jan) we were out in the yard gardening on a beautifully warm day.  today we woke up to temperatures in the 20's.  brrrrr!

~two~

funny bunny has been working on some art projects this past week, which i'll be sharing in a later post.  she wants to enter them into a local argricultural fair art show.  last year she entered one painting and received a blue ribbon and a few dollars so her goal this year is to enter several.  so far she has completed four.

~three~

i have my very first thrity-one party booked for the end of this month!!!  although sales have been really good since i started in oct, it was hard to book a party during the busy holiday season.  a good friend of mine is hosting the party and i am so excited {doing excited dance}!!

~four~

since the beginning of jan, we have been trimming our expenses and watching our budget.  we have tried to cut out all unneccesary expenses, like eating out, which was a large part of our budget.  i called several of our service providers and was able to get some of our bills lowered for six months to a year.  one bill was cut in half!  did you know you can call your service providers and ask about specials currently running?

valentine's day is tomorrow and i haven't even thought about it.  i need to run out sometime today to get something for funny bunny!  we don't have any special plans tomorrow, other than funny bunny taking some cards into dance class, and doing some crafts at home.  i'll probably make her a special breakfast too.  thursday her cbs group will have a valentine's day party at the park after class.   :)

friday we are taking a field trip to legoland!!  there are supposed to be over 400 people going in our homeschool group and we all have to meet at the front of the park between 9:00 and 10:00am to get our tickets.  should be interesting...lol!

since friday the weather has been beautiful!  funny bunny and I worked in the garden picking weeds and watering and trimming plants.  maisy enjoyed the sun.

today funny bunny has her jr. homemaker's class and they will be learning how to ice a cake.  fun!!!

this week is busy with doctor and dentist appointments.  blahh!

one thing for funny bunny to look forward to this weekend is going to birthday parties for two of her friends!  she is very excited!

wow, it's been since wed since i posted...sorry about that.  things got a little busy toward the end of the week.

~two~

funny bunny had her first american girl book club meeting of the new year on friday.  they started the josephina series and had to read books 1 and 2.  there were 20 girls in attendance and they sat in a circle for about 30 minutes and chatted so nicely with each other about the books.  then they made little bowls out of air dry clay.  ours is just about ready to paint.  and if i could find my camera card, i would take a picture and post it.

i went to thirty-one's spring product premier on saturday morning.  they were held at movie theaters across the country.  it was an interesting and exciting experience to be with other thirty-one ladies, watching the new patterns and products revealed.  more to come later...

funny bunny had a stuffy nose at the beginning of last week, and although she had been clear for a couple days, hubby and i woke up on saturday with it.  :(  It's only a stuffy nose for both of us...hoping today is the last of it.

~five~

still am not telling what hubby got for us for christmas to keep our new year resolution to get fit.  i am giving it one more week to try before i let the cat out of the bag.  ;)

happy new year!!!

wow, it's already 2012!!  i hope everyone had a wonderful christmas and a happy new year!  we have been enjoying the time off school and i have so much to tell you about!

funny bunny was a wonderful angel in the christmas pageant at church.  when we got home, she checked under her pillow, as she does every christmas eve, to see if the elves left her magic pajamas (a sign that she is sure to get gifts from santa).

yay!!!  she is always so excited to find them!!

the week after christmas we focused on cleaning the house.  i took all the decorations down, inside and out, and we started purging.

hubby got me a new organizer to store all of the crafts.  doesn't it look nice?  this got me in the mood to continue the cleaning throughout the house.

 ~seven~

funny bunny had some "chore training" over our break.  in addition to getting dressed and making her bed each day, here is her new weekly schedule:

mon: wash and fold her clothes

tue: clean her bathroom

wed: dust and vacuum her room

fri: clean the sliding glass door

 ~eight~

i had planned to start school today but found out a couple days ago that hubby is off work.  so we get one more day off!  :)

 ~nine~

now it is january 2nd and i need to make my new year resolutions.  i'll have to get back to you on those...

ok, so i already know that one of my resolutions is to get in better shape {isn't that everyone's??}  so hubby got me {and him} something for christmas that should better absolutely will help.  you'll have to wait to hear about it though...i'm excited, but a little worried too.  some cliffhanger, huh?!  ;)

and now it is a cold and rainy outside and i just want to cuddle up in some warm sheets and sleep...but I won't because we have to get school completed...the house clean...and more shopping done. happy monday!!  :)
