StickerYou Review

If you have kids who are into logos and stickers, I've found a neat site for you.  It's called StickerYou.  With StickerYou, you can create and purchase your own custom stickers.

It's very simple!

You simply make your own sticker page online.  If you have your own pictures or images, you can upload them to their site, edit, and create your own custom stickers.  If not, you can choose from their thousands of original designs and logos.  Once you create your sticker pages, they are shipped to your home.

You can also Make+Print your stickers at home.  You purchase their Make+Print Your Own Stickers package at your local Hobby Lobby store and enter the print code here

Sticker packages are available in rectangle, round, hearts & stars, and iron-on.

Ideas for StickerYou

* Business logos
* Promotional items
* Personalize lockers, laptops, and notebooks
* Name labels for kids clothes, cups, shoes, and more
* Decorate your room
* Labels for organizing
* Scrapbooking
* Parties

My Thoughts:  I received a Make+Print Your Own Stickers rectangle package, which includes 5 sheets, totaling 40 stickers.  I entered my print code online and started creating stickers to print myself.  They really have endless sticker making possibilities and I found myself playing around with all the combinations for at least an hour.  I made a sticker page and printed it out for you to see.

You can see these are glossy, high quality, vinyl stickers.  They are also sun and water resistant and removable, leaving no residue.  For most of them, I choose their backgrounds and graphics and added my own words.  You can see I imported two pictures, one of our dog Maisy and one of my blog button.

Find Out More:  You can create your own sticker pages at StickerYou.  Cost for stickers is $7.49 per page (for 2 pages).  Costs for labels and custom stickers varies.  You can also find StickerYou on Facebook and Twitter.  And for a limited time you can make your FREE stickers now, just pay s&h.

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

1-2-3 Textured Products Review

1-2-3 Textured Products offers hands-on, fun, and colorful crafts and project kits for kids.  These kits are great to keep preschoolers and little ones busy.

There are a large assortment of craft kits to choose from.  They have zoo animals, reptiles, pond creatures, farm animals, insects, transportation vehicles, and more.

We received Chirpy the Bird.  My daughter is 8 but she still enjoyed this craft.  The kit came with a bird cut-out and three different types of materials to glue on.  We used a glue stick to apply them, but some fell off in the end.  Maybe a stronger glue would have worked better.

My Thoughts:  I think these would be great crafts for preschool age children.  I like the fact that different textured items come with each kit.  It would be great for those children who like to be more hands-on and like the feel of different textured items.  Just make sure there is parent supervision, as many of the pieces are small (with the kit we received at least).

Thoughts of an 8-Year Old:  I liked it and it tuned out very nice in the end.

Find Out More:  You can find out more about this craft kit and others at 1-2-3 Textured Craft's websiteIndividual Activity Packs, which include three projects per pack, materials, directions, theme ideas and conversation starters sell for $4.99 each.  You can also order a one, three, six, or twelve month subscription.  Prices vary for each level.  And if you would like to try one out, you can request a FREE Sample, paying only for shipping, which is 1.50.  You can get important updates on Twitter.

Snap Fashion Jewelry Giveaway

If your children are like my child, they love crafts.  Our craft drawer is overflowing with projects and now we have a new and unique craft to add to it.

It's called Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio by SmartLab Toys.  SmartLab Toys makes all kinds of fun hands-on toys for ages 4-12, from Art Kits, to Science Kits, to Puzzles.

The Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio is a fun art craft for girls that teaches them how to make interchangeable fabric-covered snaps that mix and match into things like rings, bracelets, necklaces, ponytail holders, and headbands.

The kit includes an idea book, customizable snap maker, 25 domes and backs snaps to cover with fabric, 5 necklace and bracelet snaps, 2 snap rings, a necklace with hook and clasp, a charm attachment, 16 precut fabric circles, 12" ribbon, 12 birthstone gems, a transfer sheet, and a 5ml bottle of glue.

My daughter was excited to start and dove right in.  The steps to making an interchangeable fabric-covered snap are simple.

1.  Choose a piece of precut fabric.
2.  Put the fabric circle in the snap maker and put a dome over it.
3.  Press down on the arm of the snap maker.
4.  Raise the arm and tuck the fabric into the dome.  Place a back on the snap maker.

5.  Press down to "click".
6.  Press the release button and you have your snap!!

My Thoughts:  I think this is a great craft kit for young girls.  It was very simple to use and easy to make fun jewelry.  When you run out of precut fabric circles you can simply use your own fabric.  The only concern right now is that there are no refill kits available to purchase but they plan on making them in the near future.  For now, you can call customer service and they will assist.

Thoughts of an 8-Year Old: I really like that they are fun and easy to make and they can come on and off the necklaces in case one day I feel like yellow, and others not so much. I might feel a little blue and wear the charm bracelet above on my wrist. (The blue one)  After all, they're so easy and fun to make, that there are loads for me to wear!

Find Out More:  You can find out more about the Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio and other products at SmartLab Toys.  The Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio is $24.99 but many products start at just $7.99.  It is also available on Amazon and select retailers.  As a reader you can save 25% when you enter the code BLOGBUZZ at SmartLab Toys from now until 6/60/11
