2010 Gratitude Challenge - November 10

For the month of November Our Homeschool Reviews will be participating in a Gratitude Challenge hosted by Brenda at Garden of Learning.  For each day, I'll post about something I am thankful for.

Today I am thankful for...Our Homeschool Group!  Last night we had a mom's meeting and a veteran homeschool mom talked about how our children can use their gifts (whatever they may be) to serve the Lord.  It was a very encouraging and inspiring talk.

Our daughter seems to have many interests and does very well in a few things, namely writing, reading, and playing the piano.  As she continues to grow, I plan to be there to help her, encourage her, and give her the tools to succeed.  We've already talked about how she can use these gifts, and others, to serve God.  I can't wait to see how she uses them!

I am thankful for local homeschool group also, for without their support (and my husband's) my homeschooling would be even tougher! Thanks for linking up again to the Thankful Hearts Blog Hop and congrats again on your Homeschool Blog Awards nomination!

That sounds nice. My only homeschool groups are online, which is fine, but it's just not the same..

That one-on-one homeschooler to homeschooler encouragement is something to be thankful for!

I loved what you shared about helping our kids to realize and use their gifts to serve. We are blessed to attend a church that really encourages this, and my children have all served in different areas. In fact, two of them are now employed at the church, and the oldest worked there for 2 years. It's such a blessing to see our kids learn their gifts and then use them for the Lord.

We don't belong to a "group" but there are a group of us that get together occasionally. I love that I can be teaching and helping my kids find and use their gifts for the Lord.
