For the month of December Our Homeschool Reviews will be participating in "Holiday Bliss" hosted by Brenda at Garden of Learning.
At the beginning of December I gather all of our Christmas books, stack them, and place them under the coffee table in the family room. Each day we pick a new book to read in the evening. Some families take the time to wrap each book so their children can open a new one each day, but I know I will never have the time to be that creative. ;o)
Here is a list of some of our favorites:
The Christmas Book, Golden Press (this was mine when I was little)
Wee Three Pigs, by Heidi Petach
The Night Before the Night Before Christmas, by Natasha Wing
Santa's Stuck, by Rhonda Gowler Greene
Mooseltoe, by Margie Palatini
Santa Claus, by Rod Greene

I'm glad to know that I am not the only one who doesn't wrap the books each year. ;-) I just put ours in a basket each year.
I must be behind the times as I never considered (or heard about) wrapping each book for the kids to unwrap. Most of our Christmas books are still in a box and need to be brought out. Maybe that'll be a task for this afternoon as I'm so ready to read a few favorites.
Hi Christine!
I'm one of the crazy moms who wrap 20 or so books in purple paper to unwrap one each day during Advent :) My children helped out this year a little and wrapped some with me.
I haven't heard of some of your favorites. There are so many great reads during this season, isn't there?
Tracy, that is so nice you do that! I just can't muster up the energy. I can barely get the presents wrapped for Christmas...lol! Our favorites are very silly books that our daughter thinks are just hilarious!
I leave them all out, too. I have some in every room. it's the only time of year they come out so we can look forward to them. I have to let them see the light.
