When we think of the giants in our lives, what do we think of? Hopefully not a group of oversized 9 to 12 foot people.
I'm talking about the other kind of giant. The giant that may go by many names: financial trouble, sickness, marital problems, pressure at work, or pressure from the outside world? Do you face any of these giants?
In the Bible, David faced a true giant. David was a mere shepherd boy who faced Goliath, a Philistine giant. David should have been scared to death, right? Wouldn't we have been? But David wasn't. He knew God was on his side.
Psalm 91:1-6 says He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. Isn't that wonderful!! David believed that he could approach Goliath with courage, knowing that God was on his side. He did not hesitate.
We all have giants in our lives. Do we hesitate?
Remember, He is our refuge and fortress.

Yes, what do we have to be afraid of, after all? Thanks for sharing!
Wow! You are right! How cool is that for God to link up his daughters across the miles in this way! Priceless!
Yes, very cool! Loved your post!
Beautiful post! Oh those Giants! I am on a resting spot right now, taking refuge under Him right now. It is the first time since having kids that I am not feeling the "guilt" from resting. And my body and mind are healing incredibly fast. Oh if we would rest in his arms!
Great article! Thank you.
