"Wow", was all I could say when I received The Portable Pediatrician in the mail.  This huge 575 page book contains literally everything you need to know about your child's health! 

From America's leading authorities on childcare, the Searses created this encyclopedic guide to your child's health from birth through adolescence. 


This book is separated into three parts:

Part 1: Four Things All Parents Must Do to Keep Their Children Healthy
Part 2: Well-Baby and Well-Child Exams
Part 3: Pediatric Concerns and Illnesses: A to Z
Part 4: Medicine Cabinet

My Thoughts:  I like the flow of this book.  It just doesn't talk about well-visits or about illnesses, it also talks about finding the right doctor for you and your child, getting the most out of your child's checkups, and nutrition.  There are also simple and helpful tips throughout the entire book. 

And if you are looking for a quick reference guide for just about any illness you can think of, they devote 425 pages to just that.  From Abdominal pain to Yeast infections, it is all there. 

I have had many baby/toddler/child books over the years, and I would say that this one is one of the most comprehensive!
