Yes, it's actually a Mocking Bird. The bush is on the side of our house in the front yard and both birds are building the nest. I noticed noises in the bushes when we left the house and finally had time to sit and wait to see what was going on. So excited that we may have babies to watch!!!
Following you from the work out wednesday blog hop. I'm planning on homeschooling my kids and have no idea what I'm doing so I can't wait to see what else you have here!
That is actually pretty amazing. You don't see the whole thing in action. Usually you just see the finished product. Awesome pictures this week! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I was very patient and they didn't mind me too much as long as I didn't get too close. They were taking material from across the street somewhere and I think they were actually taking some from an old nest in another tree in our yard. I saw one fly in and sit in it. Not sure why they just didn't use it.
Very cool! I put two plants up on our front porch last spring and immediately gained residents. Needless to say the plants died from lack of water but the birds are still happily living there 11 months later. ~ Calico Contemplations

Some great shots!
Love watching the birds in the spring! I have to make sure to keep the garage shut because one always wants to build a next in there. Happy Wednesday!
Great series! So cool how they build their nests!

Great bird photos do you know what kind it was:)? The only birds I see in my backyard are crows or starlings.:(
