History Timeline

I recently realized that I never posted about our history timeline from last year.  Creating our timeline was one of my daughter's favorite activities.  We used Heart of Dakota's Preparing Hearts for His Glory and they suggested a note card timeline.

Once a week we would cut a note card in half and draw a picture of what we learned that week along with any important dates and names at the bottom.  I liked this method because we do not have a lot of space and we could fold it up like an accordion for storage.

By the end of the year we had 63 cards taped together from Creation to Today.

Look how long it got!

We love going back and looking at the pictures

This year we are doing something a little different, which I will tell you more about in another post.

What size notecards did you use? I really like the looks and apparent ease of this one, to do with my little guy. Can't wait to hear what you are doing next!

That is very smart!! wow. it takes up so little room.

I love how you did this timeline! Very personalized, and like Brenda said above, I like that it doesn't take up a ton of room when it's folded up!

Our Homeschool Reviews

They were 3x5 blank index cards cut in half. :)

Christine, this is great! I had a hard time picturing this, and I didn't realize that you made it as you worked through the year. We are surely doing this!
