Our Legoland Trip

We took a trip to Legoland yesterday since it was one of their many Homeschool Days.
We arrived right when they opened, and even though there were several large homeschool groups, it was not very crowded.  We were able to go on many of the rides 2-3 times, and a few times they told us we could just stay on.

Funny Bunny and Hubby really liked the Imagination Zone, where they both built and tested their own Lego cars.  Hubby won the first few races, but with some modifications, Funny Bunny was able to beat him!
We loved all of the roller coasters, but I think our overall favorite was Coastersaurus, which is wooden.

We also had time to explore the historic gardens established on the grounds of its Cypress Gardens predecessor more than 75 years ago.  The highlight of the Gardens is the Banyan tree that was planted as a seedling in 1939.  It was huge!!

I love that Legoland has discounted days set aside specifically for homeschoolers!  If you ever get a chance to go, it's well worth it!  And if you think you may visit more than once, purchasing an annual pass may be the way to go, especially if you are a Florida Resident.

My family and I have regularly attended the homeschool days at Legoland, but it seems like this year they are requiring at least 10 people in your party. Before we were always able to attend just as a family. Did you encounter this? Was the 10-person minimum rule enforced?

According to their website, group minimums do not apply on selected Home School Days. There were a few groups there when we went, but most were families. Here is the link http://florida.legoland.com/en/buy_tickets/Groups/education/Home-School-Days/

Hope that helps.
