Fit Mommy Friday - Challenge Week 3

As I am writing this, I have completed 19 days of the challenge.

Highlights:

Although we were camping this past weekend, I was able to get out and run for 20 minutes, three days in a row.  Since we've been home I have done both my upper body and lower body workouts one time each.

Food I Could Have Eaten But Didn't:

I haven't done as good this past week since we were on vacation, but I did pass on the Pillsbury sticky buns for breakfast one morning and I didn't eat chips and cookies until I was ready to explode.  ;o)  For the most part, I had self-control, which is good for me!

What I Could Have Done Better:

I've still been pickin' in the candy jar but only one here and there.  I think overall I have been eating fine (I'm not eating out and not eating fast food), but there is definitely room for improvement!

My Progress:

Well I was down a pound but now I am back up one, so I guess we can call that even.  It has been very frustrating, especially since I am eating fine and have added cardio and weights.  Must be all that rock hard muscle I am adding...lol!

The Weekend:

We have nothing exciting planned for the weekend so my plan is to try to eat as clean as possible and keep working out.

Looking Forward:

I am thinking of looking back at my Body for Life information.  I would like to go a little stricter with my food intake and up my healthy protein.  I have completed 12 weeks on this program and was probably in my best shape at the time.  That was in March of 2007.  Oh goodness...I just looked at the spreadsheet with my measurements from back then.  OK, that helps with the motivation, although I am scared to take my current measurements.  Eek!!!

Favorite Recipe

When I am trying to eat more protein, I like to scramble 3 egg whites with 1 whole egg and then top two pieces of whole wheat toast with it.  It's actually better to eat the eggs with oatmeal rather than toast but I switch it up sometimes.

Thanks for joining Our Homeschool Reviews.  I hope everyone else participating in this challenge had a good week as well.  If you want to check the status of all the participants I am linked up with Denise at Got Chai?

i cant decide

Looks like you had a decent week. Good job not eating what you could have eaten. ;)

You have done quite well this past week! I also did the Body for Life a long time ago...it helped tremendously, but I could not take the supplemental drinks that it requires.

You are doing terrific :) until next week...

I hate looking back at my prior measurements. It does the job for motivation though. Hope you have a great weekend!

When I did Body for Life I ended up in the best shape of my life too. Not sure I can commit to that again though...

I think it sounds like you did just fine this week...
