Fit Mommy Friday

In my posts this week I talked about how I was going to be doing the Body for Life diet and I listed my meals for the week

The week has gone pretty well.  Breakfasts have been easy since I have been having the same thing each morning: 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg, and an apple.  YUM!!

The dinners have all been fabulous, and although I am only eyeing the amounts I intake, I think I am doing a fairly good job.  For most nights, I haven't been hungry after dinner, so that is a plus!

Lunches and snacks have not been as even proportionate as I would have liked them, but they are still healthy.  For example, when I should be getting equal amounts of carbs and protein, I'll just have a banana.  Not a bad snack, but not my goal.

I've been drinking lots of water and some green tea, have only had about two cups of coffee, and maybe a half glass of diet soda the whole week.  I have not gotten a headache this week and I think that is because I am still drinking the tea.

I have worked out my lower body twice this week and my upper body three times.  I was supposed to have at least two days of cardio but that didn't happen.  I know I will see a big difference once I add that, but unless you consider playing with the dog in the backyard and cleaning the floors cardio, I didn't do it.

My weight is about the same since Monday but I like to do the "hands on the hips test".  My waist seems to be a tad bit smaller.  ;o)  I'll probably start taking more specific measurements next week.

So that is it for this week.  I'll continue through the weekend and post some more next week about my exercises.

Thanks for joining Our Homeschool Reviews. I hope everyone else participating Fit Mommy Friday had a good week as well. If you want to check the status of all the participants I am linked up with Denise at Got Chai?

I love it when the clothe size or the scale goes down but the 'hands on hips test' is the one I love the most! I think it is the best test of all. :-D Great job!!

Isn't it great when you "feel" like you've lost some weight? Nothing is better than when a previously snuggly zipped skirt, zips with ease :) Glad to have found your blog. Have a great weekend!

You go girl~We have this wonderful New Year to enjoy our new beginnings~what a blessing! Keep up your good work and your balanced eating plan~health is the ultimate goal! whoot! hugs!!

i cant decide

I agree with the size over weight thing to gauge how you are doing. Sometimes I will lose an inch off my waist without losing any pounds.

Good job on the eating. That sounds like a good plan.
