Our curriculum, Preparing Heart for His Glory, covers Creation to late 1900's and we are currently on week five. So far we have read about Creation, Cain and Abel, Noah's Ark and the flood, life after the flood, the Tower of Babel, the Ice Age, the Egyptians, and the Babylonians.
There is a story to read aloud each day, along with a project that starts at the beginning of the week and continues for three days. There is one day for researching a topic using a dictionary or online resources, one day for vocabulary, one day for geography, and one day for timeline.
The projects have included designing a shield of faith, studying warm and cool colors to paint a rainbow, creating a cave painting, making a clay map of the Mesopotamia area, and making a clay cartouche.

Hi! Love this! I've been thinking about that curriculum for this fall...interesting info...
Visiting, yet again, but this time with the TOS Crew blog walk.
Thanks for sharing! Would love to see some of the projects.
Hi. I'm stopping by on this week's TOS blog walk. It sounds like you chose a wonderful History course!
Oh, I so enjoy see people share their projects. Thank you!

Loving this post~hey, what age is this curriculum for? Let me know, OK? Thanks! HOPPING BY on the blog walk for CREW!
The curriculum is for ages 8-10, with an extension package up to age 12, I think. Our daughter is 7 but we thought she could handle it and it fits perfectly with what we are doing this year. She just doesn't work as independently as an older child would. We love it though!
